Minimum Wage and Overtime Case Against Viking Group, LLC (d/b/a/ Donato’s Pizza)
Our firm has filed an unpaid minimum wage and unpaid overtime case against the Viking Group, LLC (d/b/a Donato’s Pizza) (“Donato’s). The allegations state that Donato’s failed to pay their delivery drivers the legally required minimum wage and overtime wage by paying them an hourly wage below the legally required minimum wage (e.g., $7.25 per hour) for the “non-tipped” work they were required to perform inside the Donato’s restaurants. The non-tipped work they were required to perform while being paid below the required minimum wage included, among other things, cleaning dishes, cleaning the restaurant, and folding pizza boxes. Overtime Case Against Certified Flooring Installation, Inc.
Our firm has filed an unpaid overtime case against Certified Flooring Installation, Inc. (“CFI”) based upon the claim that CFI failed to pay its carpet installers the legally required overtime payments. The allegations state that CFI failed to pay the carpet installers overtime premium pay for all hours over 40 the carpet installers worked in a workweek. The allegations also state that CFI unlawfully deducted lunchbreaks from the carpet installers’ time by automatically deducting a half-hour for periods in which the carpet installers failed to receive an uninterrupted 30-minute lunchbreak. The allegations finally provide that CFI failed to account for all hours the carpet installers worked, thereby resulting in CFI not paying them their full overtime pay in certain workweeks.
